Success Expressed as Bugs

Last November I posted on the arrival of one female Oncopeltus fasciatus, large milkweed bug, in the parkway milkweed patch. Since then these bugs have multiplied into the most numerous species feeding on the milkweed, even outnumbering aphis nerii. From spring to right now they have been present in most or all life stages. Our nighttime temperatures are getting into the mid-50s while our daytime highs are above 75. Let's see if the bug population diminishes when (or if) the weather cools down.
