Yellow

Short day length is the trigger, but it's cool how you can count on Tagetes lemmonii, Copper canyon daisy, to start blooming in time for Day of the Dead. Not only does it look good with the pumpkins and spooks in the low angle sunlight. the masses of flat flowers attract all kinds of pollinators. It surely is an important source of food for these creatures at this time of year.

Seen nectaring were honeybees, some unidentified tachinid flies, Eristalinus taeniops, some green agapostemon sp. bees, and cactus flies, Copestylum mexicana.
