Old stuff 2008 4: Lime Assassin

This lime tree was temporarily stocked in our yard in October. The day after it arrived this assassin bug, Zelus renardii, was found stalking prey among the blossoms. Sure, it could have been present on the plant at the nursery but it could also have made claim to this fresh hunting ground soon after the plant arrived. How long does it take predators to move onto new plant material introduced into a balanced environment?
