Baseball and Wasps

It must be baseball season. A polistes wasp has just started her paper nest on the front porch. You can see some eggs in the cells as she glowers down at me taking this photo. Although these wasps don't seem very friendly not one of us has yet been stung although we do believe we tempt fate by letting them nest so close to our daily comings and goings out the front door. Like I said, is it baseball season already? We just got busy and didn't notice the wasp getting her nest started before we could stop her. So do I end the pain now and take the ball from the pitcher who has allowed three runs in the second; or let him to continue and hope he doesn't get stung again in the third?

Yikes, she looks like an umpire to me and trouble always ensues when you mess with the umpire!
