You know it is spring when you've got crane flies in the house. In this case, a male tiger crane fly (Nephrotoma wulpiana) rests on the kitchen sponge. I took him outside on the sponge and he flew off, presumably in search of a female.
That's too funny. JUST today, 4/8, I read this and we'd had the first crane fly in the house today. Never noticed a correlation before. =) Sure entertained the cat, though.
