Back on April 28, this paper wasp, polistes exclamans, started her nest next to my front door. Here you can see the fat larvae developing, the oldest of them towards the top of the nest. The first cell has been sealed, with the pupating wasp inside.
The mother wasp still looks annoyed, but we've had no trouble from her so far.
