Toward the end of our spate of very welcome rain earlier this week (The Storm of the Season, according to the morning news for 7-10 days preceding the event) this raindropped monarch chrysalis was hanging under a dark sky. According to an urgent phone call I got from my cohort traveling north on the I-5, there were multiple rainbows leading right to it, if only I were in the right spot to see them. I found no pot of gold, but still a bit of treasure.
