The Amaryllis belladonna didn't disappoint, and so took me by surprise as usual in the late August/early September garden blahs with its naked stem topped with big luscious blooms.
Like a beauty mark on a pin up model, this wee jumping spider poses on the fair face of the naked lady. Not sure what species the spider is; the markings don't match any pictures I saw probably because it's a young spider and the markings do change as they gro
w and molt.
