Eggses

We decided early on this summer to rip out the ridiculous lawn in the parkway strip along where we park the cars, and planted it to whatever leftover seeds we found lying around the place and some orphans and leftovers from the arboretum end-of-season plant sale. It looks something like a meadow, I suppose. There is lots of this plant, whatever it is, and among its tiny upside down flowers I found this clutch of eggs. The bugs seem to prefer the meadow, with its diversity of plants and offerings of food and shelter, quite a bit over the relative desert of the lawn.
