Funky Winged Sharpshooter

I caught this glassy-winged sharpshooter, homalodisca vitripennis, doing funky things with its wings on a clear winter day. These guys spend a lot of time stuck in one position on stems, sucking vital juices from your plants, or they often sidle away from your view as you try to see whether those are ivory or yellowish spots on the creature's head (thus verifying it is indeed a GWSS) or are they light-colored wavy lines, which would mean your shy little pal is a smoke tree sharpshooter, h. liturata. It's not often they show off their four wings as this one was doing.
