nwary gardeners. It is nice to have one's empty words confirmed by concrete evidence once in awhile. Here is one of those offspring setting up housekeeping on the backside of the fence where the trash cans are stored.

This is another critter that I suddenly have way too many of around my house.
I never noticed them before this summer, this being the 4th female I've seen. The neighbor says he has had some in his yard. He brings materials back from the desert; I wonder whether they came in with that, or if they are just becoming more prevalent in OC. Also, the ones in my yard are fairly out in the open, not especially reclusive as I thought their habit to be.
