Milkweed predator fest

Bunches of nice juicy oleander aphids arrived on the milkweed the past week, and following right behind them were some predators. You can see the orange/yellow mass of aphids just beyond the lynx spider.




The ladybird beetle larva is surrounded by aphid carcasses.













This syrphid fly larva is resting on a nearby tagetes leaf after (judging by its girth) gorging itself on aphids.
